ten minute stroll from Rysdale takes you to the Lake itself you can
sit and watch the boats or take a cruise on a boat trip. For a more adventurous holiday, Red Screes
and the Fairfield Horseshoe are all in walking distance from Rysdale.

One of the most famous features in Ambleside is the Bridge House, featured, which can be seen above is a tiny
building spanning the Stock Beck. Folklore has it that it was erected by the owner as a method of Land Tax avoidance.
It is unknown if the story is true however it remains as on of the iconic buildings of the Lake district and a must see.
