Dianne and Allan welcome you to Rysdale, a traditional Edwardian
Lakeland house, built in 1905 and situated in Ambleside that
provides spectacular views of the surrounding fells and mountains.

Ambleside itself provides a great variety of different attractions
and Rysdale is an ideal base from which to start the days activities.
A 10 minute stroll takes you to Lake Windermere for a Lake cruise,
or a pleasant walk through

the woods brings you to Stockghyll waterfalls. A 2-3 minute
stroll is all that is needed for the many excellent shops,
restaurants and bars with gentle parkland surroundings.
Rysdale is the perfect base for local fell and mountain walks
as well as providing easy access for all that Ambleside and
the surroundings area has to offer and we feel that our hospitality
